RSC’s Leadership Team
We are Indigenous leaders in the construction industry on Vancouver Island. As a local, family-owned business, RavenStone takes pride in our Quw’utsun culture and building our local economy. We carry on the vision of our founder, the late Ted Williams, to help First Nations people flourish in their careers and their lives through mentorship and educational opportunities.
Late Ted Williams
Founder
Ted spent his life and career supporting and believing in the future of his community. As a tireless champion of Quw’utsun people, he used his considerable expertise in construction, business development and community building to create opportunities and careers through advocacy and leadership. Ted’s dream was to see systemic changes that would help his neighbours achieve on-reserve home ownership and affordable rental housing. His vision continues to drive our work at RavenStone Construction every day and leaves a proud legacy that will be remembered for generations to come.

Dan Williams
Owner | President
Dan has endless energy for building economic growth and creating opportunities in the trades for Indigenous people on Vancouver Island. His work in construction began after a 20-year career in forestry, where he was integral as a professional, volunteer and leader. He founded RavenStone Construction with his father Ted, soon recruiting his sister Kathy to join them to create construction careers in their community. In just a few years, RSC has seen rapid growth under Dan’s leadership, resulting in the team’s broad network and reputation as trusted experts in construction, training, and career-building. Dan is focused on growing RavenStone’s business, knowledge and skills, while leading the creation of meaningful First Nations partnerships and employment in the construction industry.

Kathy Parkinson

Kathy leads RavenStone’s financial strategies, growth management and long-term planning with vision and warmth. She has dedicated her career to creating success for First Nations people, beginning with her work at Quw’utsun Cultural and Conference Centre where she found a passion leadership and creating careers for Cowichan Tribes Citizens. Kathy gained her financial expertise in Northern BC, working with Tse’khene Elders at McLeod Lake Indian Band. She truly believes in the power of mentoring and is an advocate for building strong First Nations relations in the construction industry. Kathy is a Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager, a COR Certified safety auditor and a Director of the Board with Vancouver Island Construction Association.

Alanna Keller
Operations Manager
Alanna approaches RavenStone’s operations with excellence and heart, ensuring each project has the expertise, processes, and best practices in place to ensure efficiency and quality as well as the safety of the RavenStone team. Her construction experience began at a young age, with her natural talent and expertise helping her advance quickly in the industry as a carpenter running crews on construction sites in Alberta. Alanna takes pride in watching her team flourish in the RavenStone environment and credits a significant part of RSC’s success to knowledge sharing and mentoring. She is a COR Certified safety auditor, dedicated to making construction sites safer, and is in the final stage of her National Construction Safety Officer designation.
Olivia Williams
Relations and Safety Coordinator
Olivia builds culture and connection at RavenStone and in our community. She coordinates RavenStone’s rigorous safety education program and holds team members accountable with positivity and camaraderie that are an essential part of RSC’s work culture. Olivia leads community giving and makes sure RSC’s annual Christmas for Quw’utsun fundraiser is a huge success. Her many other roles include office management, organizing team training, travel and celebrations and managing RavenStone’s injury management program. Olivia can usually be found in the community wearing RavenStone merch, which she designs with a local printer.
